Collection Creation
AAdministrative users can create new Collections from the Repository back office by:
- Logging in and accessing the back office
- Clicking the “+” sign in the right side of the top navigation bar
- Then selecting “New collection” from the dropdown menu:
- The user must give the collection a name and an identifier (a simple, unique name to be included in the collection’s URL)
- The collection is publicly visible by default, but this can be set to “Restricted”
- Once this form is filled out, click the “+ Create collection” button, and the collection will be published in the system, where its additional settings can be managed.
Subcollection Creation
- The repository platform can support one level of subcollections within any collection.
- To be used, this feature must be enabled by going to the top-level collection’s settings page, click “Privileges,” scroll down to “Allow Sub-collections” and toggle the feature on and click “Save” (note: sub-collections within sub-collections are not supported):
- Once the “Allow sub-collection” setting is enabled, you can create a new sub-collection by clicking “Add a new subcollection” in the top right corner of the collection “Edit” page for the collection you wish to add it to:
